- Witness says he paid N62 million to Rebecca Omokamo for two Abuja plots
- Land titles vanished from AGIS after EFCC marked them in 2024
- Defendant denies forging R-of-O but admits issuing other land documents
A Federal High Court in Abuja has heard how a businessman paid N62 million to an Abuja land dealer, Rebecca Omokamo Godwin Isaac, only to later find the land records had vanished.
Eko Hot Blog reports that testifying on Tuesday, Abu Gambo said he paid for two plots in Katampe District, Abuja, after verifying the land documents at the Abuja Geographic Information Systems (AGIS). He said the seller, also known as Becky or Bilikisu Ishaku Aliyu, showed him documents including a Right of Occupancy and allocation letters.

“She told me she got FCDA approval in 2022, and I verified the details at AGIS,” Gambo told Justice Joyce Abdulmalik.
Gambo, the first EFCC witness, paid N35 million for Plot 17 and N27 million for Plot 18 in 2023, both within Plot 1862. He also gave N1.5 million for supervision.
He said the land was later marked by the EFCC, but when he returned to AGIS to re-verify, the plots had vanished from the system.
Omokamo, her company Homadil Realty Ltd, and co-defendants Richard John and Rychado Homes are facing 17 counts, including land fraud and money laundering.
The EFCC tendered purchase agreements, receipts, and the disputed R-of-O. Omokamo admitted issuing all documents except the R-of-O, which she claimed was only a photocopy. The court admitted all exhibits.

The judge adjourned the trial to 9 October for hearing of objections and continuation.
Omokamo is also facing a separate EFCC case involving her husband and others, accused of forging documents for Plot 4022 in Guzape and defrauding another buyer of N70 million.
