The historic town of Ejinrin in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Epe Division of Lagos State, came alive on Sunday, November 16, 2025, as Hon. Olusegun Olulade, popularly known as Eleniyan, hosted a grand 20-year remembrance for his late mother, Chief (Mrs.) Fatimo Ayinke Folorunsho Olulade (Nee Odelana), who passed away at the age of 70.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the day began with an Islamic prayer at the Olulade family compound, where guests prayed for the repose of her soul in Aljanah Firdaus.

The ceremony later moved to the open field of Lofi Comprehensive College for a reception celebrating her life and enduring legacy.
Hon. AbdulWasiu Bakare, former APC LGA Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin, said, “She was not just a mother; she raised me like a son. Iya Taju’s kindness and good deeds touched countless lives.”
Otunba Bode Oyedele, APC stalwart and G.A.C member in Lagos State, added, “Chief (Mrs.) Olulade lived a life of service and grace. Today, we celebrate her commitment to family and community.”
Hon. Wale Tasir Raji, Member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Epe, remarked, “Her life continues to inspire those of us in public service to lead with integrity and empathy.”
Family and dignitaries further described the late matriarch as a woman whose love and impact were felt across generations. “Her memory will never fade,” said Hon. Fatai Mojeed, Chief-Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Other notable guests included Senator Tokunbo Abiru, represented by Hon. Dele Abiru and Mr. Enitan Olukotun; Hon. Sylvester Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu, Lagos State House of Assembly member for Epe Constituency II; Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki LCDA; and several traditional rulers including the Onibeju of Ibeju Land, Ologunfayo of Ogunfayo Kingdom, and Onise of Ise Land.
