Epe Local Government Chairman Launches Fourth Edition of “Iya Epe” Goes-to-School Initiative
Ekohotblog reports that the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun FHTI, has officially launched the fourth edition of the “Iya Epe” Goes-to-School Initiative.
Launched on September 18, 2024, this program aims to provide essential school supplies to primary school pupils across the Local Government Area.

During her visit to various primary schools in Epe, Princess Animashaun distributed free school uniforms, footwear, socks, and other academic materials to students.
She emphasized that this initiative is part of her administration’s commitment to creating a supportive and equitable learning environment for all children. “Every child deserves the tools they need to succeed in school,” she stated.
At the launch, the Chairman highlighted the importance of education, urging pupils to take full advantage of the opportunities provided.
“As a mother figure who values education, my administration is dedicated to supporting students and ensuring that every child in Epe has a fair chance to succeed,” she remarked.
“I encourage you all to take your studies seriously so you can make your mark in society.”
Princess Animashaun acknowledged the rising costs of school supplies and expressed hope that this initiative would ease the financial burden on parents.
“I understand that many families are struggling with the cost of education. This initiative is aimed at lightening that load,” she said.
She reiterated her commitment to educational development and promised that similar initiatives would continue throughout her tenure.
