Epe Local Government to Begin Mass Vaccination Campaign

Ekohotblog reports that Epe Local Government, led by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun FHTI, is launching a mass vaccination campaign to protect residents from dangerous diseases.

 

The vaccination will take place from October 19th to November 2nd, 2024.

Hon. Animashaun emphasized the importance of this initiative, saying, “This campaign is meant to protect our people, especially children, from illnesses that can be prevented through vaccination. We want everyone to stay healthy and safe.”

 

The vaccination campaign will offer four key vaccines:

 

Oral Polio Vaccine: For children aged 0-59 months to prevent polio.

 

Measles Vaccine: For children aged 9-59 months to protect against measles.

 

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine: For boys and girls aged 9-14 years to prevent HPV infections and related diseases.

 

Yellow Fever Vaccine: For individuals aged 9 months to 44 years to prevent yellow fever.

 

 

Speaking on the campaign, Hon. Animashaun added, “We encourage parents and guardians to bring their children and wards for the vaccinations.

 

It’s free and safe. Our health team is ready to serve the people and ensure no one is left behind.”

 

The vaccination sites will be set up at various health centers and temporary locations around the community to make it easy for everyone to access.
