The lawmaker gave the charge during the recently concluded 2025 Epe’s Ojude Oba Festival, which was held at King Kosoko Enbarkment Centre Marina, Epe, Lagos.
This year’s edition of Epe’s Ojude Oba coincided with the special prayer organised for the late Olu-Epe, Oba Shefiu Adewale.

Hon. Raji in his address, noted that the past monarchs of Epe advocated for the preservation of three things in Epe land, which are the throne, religion (Islam), and kayokayo (tradition & culture).
While applauding former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode for elevating the throne from second class to first class, Hon. Raji said the Central Mosque is a symbol of the religion.

EKO HOT BLOG reported that Epe Local Government Chairman, Princess Surah Animashaun, suspended the installation process of the new Olu-Epe, following the tussle between High Chief Kadri Odedeogboro – the Olu-Epe elect and High Chief Iskilu Olajide Ikuforiji, both vying for the throne.

While stakeholders continue to urge for calmness, fairness, and adherence to due process, the selection process has remained under review.
