EPL: Chelsea Triumph 3-1 Over Wolves to End Winless Streak

Chelsea secured a 3-1 victory over Wolves, ending their five-game winless run in the Premier League and moving into the top four.
After Tosin Adarabioyo’s early goal was cancelled out by Matt Doherty, Chelsea turned the game around with two goals in five minutes in the second half.

Marc Cucurella scored on his 100th Premier League appearance, finishing from close range after Noni Madueke’s cross was flicked on by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Madueke then headed in from a corner delivered by Trevoh Chalobah, who was making his first appearance after returning from a loan at Crystal Palace.
The goals overshadowed an earlier error by Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, whose misjudgement allowed Doherty to equalize in first-half stoppage time.
Sanchez had ventured off his line, and despite attempting to claim a delivery from Matheus Cunha, he failed to clear it. This marks Sanchez’s fourth error leading to a goal this season, the most in the Premier League.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca defended Sanchez, telling Sky Sports, “Mistakes happen to him, the strikers, the midfielders. He is doing well.”

Tosin’s opener for Wolves, initially ruled offside, was awarded by VAR after Reece James’ deflected shot fell into his path.
The win lifts Chelsea to fourth place, two points ahead of Manchester City and Newcastle United. Wolves remain in 17th, just outside the relegation zone on goal difference, having conceded a league-high 51 goals.
