Europa League: Osayi-Samuel Sees Red In Fenerbahce’s Win Over Union SG
Osayi-Samuel, sidelined since August due to injury, missed the last international break with the Super Eagles but was back in action for Fenerbahce’s first group-stage match.

Caglar Soyuncu gave the Turkish side a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute, and Union SG were reduced to 10 men after Kevin Mac Allister’s straight red card in the 74th minute. Fenerbahce doubled their advantage in the 82nd minute when Christian Burgess scored an own goal.

Osayi-Samuel, who had been booked in the 87th minute, received his second yellow card in the 90th minute and was sent off. Union SG had a chance to narrow the gap in stoppage time, but Franjo Ivanovic missed a penalty. However, Ross Sykes scored a consolation goal in the 93rd minute for the Belgian side.
