The former manager of late Nollywood comedy icon, John Okafor, popularly called Mr Ibu, has appealed to the Enugu State Government to come to the aid of the actor’s children through educational support.
Speaking in Abuja on Monday, Eko Hot Blog gathered that Dominic Nwuzor said the appeal was aimed at securing scholarships for the children of the late entertainer, who passed away in March 2024.

Nwuzor, who managed Mr Ibu for more than two decades, explained that the late actor was from Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State and contributed immensely to the state’s image through his career in the film industry.

He said providing scholarships would help guarantee a stable future for the children and allow them access to quality education in the absence of their father.
Accordng to him, the request aligns with the education-focused policies of the Enugu State administration, which has continued to emphasise support for vulnerable groups.
He expressed optimism that Governor Peter Mbah would give favourable consideration to the appeal, noting that the governor has consistently shown strong commitment to education and human capital development.
