Excitement as Gales Club Brings Joy to Bethsaida School for the Blind with Generous Donation
Excitement filled the hearts of students, pupils, undergraduates, and a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member present at the Bethsaida School for the Blind in Idioro, Lagos State, as they warmly welcomed the Gales Club’s donation of food items to their school on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
In attendance for the donation exercise were students and pupils of the school, along with former students who are now undergraduates at various universities in Nigeria, and a serving NYSC member who is also an alumnus of the school.

The students expressed their excitement through minor choreography and accolades to the members of the Gales Club, showcasing their musical talents in gratitude for the gesture.
The Gales Club, an alumni forum of Class 9A of Lagos State School of Nursing, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, was established in 1989 with the sole purpose of contributing to the enhancement of the health community.
The founder of Bethsaida School for the Blind, Mrs. Chioma, expressed her profound gratitude to the members of the Gales Club for consistently considering the school during their annual outreach.
The members of the Gales Club acknowledged the school’s expansion over the years and encouraged the students, emphasizing that there is ability in their individual disabilities.
In addition to the outreach, the students sought further support from the Gales Club by inviting them to attend their events.

NYSC member, Ahmed Ishola, shared his thoughts in an interview with EkoHotBlog, saying, “We have realized that there are no blind women among the beauty queens, so we decided to start our own with the title, Miss Blind.”
He also invited the members of the Gales Club to the upcoming event, expressed appreciation for their support, and offered prayers for continued success.
