FCTA Threatens to Revoke Abuja Lands of Buhari’s Children, Gbajabiamila, Others (FULL LIST)

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has issued a strong warning to prominent Nigerians and corporate organizations, threatening to revoke Certificates of Occupancy (C-of-O) for land in Abuja’s Maitama District due to outstanding payments.

The FCTA has given a two-week deadline for 3,273 allottees to settle their dues.

In a notice titled “Demand Notice for Payment of Right of Occupancy Bills for Issuance of Certificates of Occupancy on All Lands Allocated at Maitama II District, Cadastral Zone A10, Abuja,” obtained by Premium Times on Friday, the FCTA emphasized the urgency of compliance to avoid penalties.

The notice has created concern among affected landowners, including high-profile individuals and companies.

The list of allottees includes the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen; Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume; Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; and former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege.

Several former and current governors were also named, including Theodore Orji, Rochas Okorocha, Ibikunle Amosun, Tanko Al-Makura, and Joshua Dariye. Others listed include ministers such as John Eno (Sports) and Abubakar Kyari (Agriculture), as well as legislators like Dino Melaye, Kabiru Marafa, and Stella Oduah.

The FCTA explained that the notice stems from its ongoing infrastructural development in the Maitama II district, urging defaulters to settle their bills immediately. The administration warned that failure to pay would result in the withdrawal of land rights and possible reallocation of the plots.

The notice reads: “The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), through the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), is carrying out infrastructural development in Maitama II (A10) District.

All allottees who have not paid their bills for the Certificate of Occupancy (C-of-O) are hereby advised to settle their bills in full within two (2) weeks from the date of this publication.

Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the offers of Rights of Occupancy (R-of-O) over the said plots of land by the Honourable Minister of the FCT, and reallocation of the lands.”
