Federal Government To Commence 774,000 SPW Jobs on Wednesday
The long-awaited 774,000 Special Public Works (SPW) job is set to commence on Wednesday. The programme is designed to engage 1,000 artisans from each local government in different states of the Federation for three months at N20,000 monthly stipends.
The Nigerian economy has witnessed a tremendous decline in this covid-19 era, that is why the government in its wisdom has launched many relief packages to help cushion the negative impacts of COVID-19 on the economy across all levels.
The Federal Government had earlier unveiled the Economic Sustainability Plan in June in a bid to provide some stimulus package to support families, small and medium enterprises, and the manufacturing sectors.

According to the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, “the aim of the scheme is to financially empower Nigerian youths to generate at least 500,000 jobs between 2020 and 2023.
The Minister of Information disclosed this at a new year media briefing on Monday in Lagos.
Stating that the federal government had also launched the N75 billion Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) targeted at young Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
