EKO HOT BLOG reports that speaking during the inauguration of the NSCDC Bwari Divisional office on Wednesday in Abuja, Audi stated that the Corps had received the necessary clearance to commence recruitment, though the exact date would be communicated later.
“We are preparing to recruit officially, and we appreciate Mr. President for granting approval to bring in well-behaved Nigerians into the service,” he said.
He commended the Bwari Area Council for facilitating the establishment of the new divisional office, adding that the development would strengthen security efforts in the area.
Also speaking at the event, the FCT Commandant of the Corps, Olusola Odumosu, expressed gratitude to Bwari Chairman, Dr. John Gabaya, for ensuring that NSCDC personnel had a proper operational base.
Odumosu highlighted some challenges faced by the division, particularly the maintenance and fueling of operational vehicles, and appealed for additional support.
“With this improved facility, we will deploy more personnel and necessary working tools to enhance security operations.
“Since I assumed office, we have created two additional divisions, two area commands, and several observation posts. These efforts are aimed at bringing security closer to the people, improving situational assessments at the local level, and ensuring more effective operational planning,” Odumosu stated.
The NSCDC remains a key security agency in Nigeria, responsible for protecting critical infrastructure, combating illegal mining, and ensuring public safety across the country.
