EKO HOT BLOG reports that He noted that this is the second round of federal palliatives for the state, following the recent provision of fertilizers for farmers to enhance both wet and dry season farming.
The governor also highlighted that there has been a significant reduction in insecurity this farming season, resulting in 95% of farmlands being successfully cultivated compared to last year.
Additionally, he announced the state’s commitment to further boosting the agricultural sector by awarding N30 billion in contracts. Radda reassured that the government is dedicated to making life easier for the masses during this difficult time.
In support, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, praised Radda’s efforts, noting that the palliative distribution aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, which seeks to provide relief for vulnerable populations.
To ensure fairness and transparency in the distribution process, committees comprising state assembly members, security agencies, and representatives from religious, women, and youth groups were established at local and ward levels. This approach aims to ensure equitable distribution during a time when the cost of essential items in Nigeria has surged dramatically.
