The Federal Government has unveiled a comprehensive program of activities to commemorate Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary. The celebration, themed “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation,” includes a series of religious, civic, and cultural events.
According to a statement from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), the festivities are set to begin today, Friday, September 26, with a special Jumu’ah prayer scheduled to take place at the National Mosque, Abuja, at 1:00 p.m, Eko Hot Blog reports.

The program will continue on Sunday, September 28, with an inter-denominational church service at the National Christian Centre in Abuja at 10:00 a.m.
This will be followed by a world press conference on Monday, September 29, at the National Press Centre, Radio House, Abuja, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The pinnacle of the celebrations will occur on Tuesday, October 1, the official anniversary date. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will address the nation in a live broadcast at 7:00 a.m. to mark the historic day.
The events will culminate later that morning with the official Independence anniversary parade at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m.
