FIBA U-18 AfroBasket: Nigeria Beats Egypt, Advances To Semi-Finals

Nigeria defeated Egypt 66-51 on Wednesday to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the FIBA U-18 Women’s AfroBasket Championship in Pretoria, South Africa.

This marks the first time in 14 years that the Nigerian team has advanced to the semi-finals

Despite losing 72-60 to Egypt in the group stage, the Nigerian team overcame the two-time champions and last edition’s silver medalists in this crucial matchup.

Historically, the Nigerian U-18 Women’s team has never won the tournament and has only finished as runners-up once.
