According to reports, the accident occurred on Thursday along Warrake Road in Uzebba, Owan West LGA, Edo State. One of the vehicles in Okpebholo’s convoy allegedly collided with a Toyota Camry carrying five individuals, resulting in the deaths of all occupants, including the driver. The victims were said to be returning from a burial ceremony.
EKO HOT BLOG learnt that the bodies of the deceased have been taken to a mortuary at Edo State University in Uzaurie, Etsako West LGA. One of the victims has been identified as Emmanuel Edionwe.

A relative of Edionwe, speaking anonymously to The Punch, expressed the family’s grief over the loss. “We just found out that five of them have died after the collision with Okpebholo’s convoy. Only one person survived but is in critical condition at the hospital,” the family member said. “We are devastated beyond words. Emmanuel was a kind and gentle boy who didn’t deserve this.”
According to the Punch, a relative of Edionwe, who did not want to be named, said the family is devastated about the news of their son.
The crash’s lone survivor is reportedly being treated at Irrua Specialist Hospital.
A delegation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State is expected to visit the families of the victims to offer condolences.
