Former Yobe Gov, Bukar Abba Ibrahim, Laid To Rest In Saudi Arabia
Eko Hot Blog reports that the late former governor of Yobe State, Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, has been interred in Saudi Arabia, with funeral rites held at the Grand Mosque, Masjid Al Haram, following the dawn prayers on Monday.

Yusuf Ali, the Senior Special Assistant, Communications and Strategy to Governor Mai Mala Buni, confirmed the burial ceremony, revealing that approximately 20 deceased individuals were prayed upon after the Fajr prayers at the Grand Mosque.
Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, who served as governor of Yobe State from 1991 to 1992 and 1999 to 2007, followed by three terms in the Senate, passed away on Sunday while undergoing medical treatment in Saudi Arabia.
He was 75 years old at the time of his demise.
Governor Mai Mala Buni expressed profound sadness over the loss of the former governor, highlighting Ibrahim’s significant contributions to the development of Yobe State and Nigeria as a whole.
He described the late senator’s passing as a monumental loss and called upon the people of Yobe and well-wishers to offer prayers for the repose of his soul.
Buni emphasized the pivotal role Senator Ibrahim played in Nigeria’s political landscape over the years, noting his dedication to improving the lives of his constituents and fostering stability and growth in the region.

His tenure as governor and senator was marked by efforts to improve the lives of his constituents and to foster stability and growth in the region,” Buni remarked.
