NNPCL attributes recent fuel scarcity in Abuja and Lagos to discharge hitches of vessels and reassures Nigerians that efforts are underway to restore normalcy.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that  the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has explained the reasons behind the recent fuel scarcity in Abuja and Lagos State.

NNPCL clarified that the tight supply and distribution issues in some parts of Nigeria, particularly Lagos and Abuja, are not due to a lack of fuel availability.

In a statement on Saturday, Chief Corporate Communications Officer Olufemi Soneye assured that efforts are ongoing around the clock to resolve the scarcity.

Soneye mentioned that there were hitches in the discharge operations of a few vessels. While he did not specify when the scarcity would end, he assured that normalcy would soon be restored.

NNPCL advised Nigerians against panic buying, reiterating that fuel is available for customers.
