- Fury Vs Joshua Clash Could Land In Dublin In September
- Conditions include Fury win and Joshua skipping warm up fight
- Katie Taylor could headline historic bout at Croke Park
Talks have begun over a proposed heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, with promoters targeting September for the long-anticipated bout at Croke Park.
The plan to stage the fight at the 80,000-capacity stadium depends on key conditions, including Fury winning his scheduled comeback bout this weekend and Joshua deciding against taking a preparatory summer fight. Fury is set to face Arslanbek Makhmudov in London, marking his first appearance since December 2024.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Joshua recently resumed training following a car accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two of his close associates, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele. His most recent fight was against Jake Paul in December.
Sources indicate that if Joshua opts for another bout before facing Fury, organisers may shift the proposed clash to later in the year, with the United Kingdom considered as an alternative venue.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Croke Park chief executive Peter McKenna said the event could also create an opportunity for Irish boxing star Katie Taylor to headline at the iconic venue.
“The real hope is that we will get Tyson Fury here later on in the year. That would be such a world-billing event that we would be able to facilitate a Katie Taylor fight here,” he said.
“A lot of stars need to align. Katie’s manager needs to agree, Katie’s promoter needs to agree, and Tyson Fury’s promoter needs to agree.
“I am very confident that all three are coming to the sense that this is one of Ireland’s greatest sporting athletes and it would be such a ‘wow’ to have her here and for her to finish her career here.”
A potential meeting between Fury and Joshua has been discussed for several years but has repeatedly stalled over disagreements relating to financial terms and broadcast rights.
The Dublin proposal is expected to receive backing from Saudi-owned production company Sela and promoter Turki Alalshikh, co-founder of Zuffa Boxing. Fury recently stated his desire for the fight to happen next, although no formal agreement has been reached.
Taylor, a two-weight undisputed champion, has previously fought in Dublin but has not headlined at Croke Park due to h

igh security costs. However, with Fury and Joshua expected to sell out the venue, organisers believe those concerns may no longer pose a barrier if she features on the undercard.
The Irish boxer has consistently expressed her ambition to conclude her career with a farewell bout on home soil.
