Gales Club Rings Christmas Bell, Gifts Lagos Hospital Staff, Patients Supplies

Members of the Gales Club of Class 9A stormed General Hospital Odan, Lagos Island, to donate medical equipment and utility items to the staff and patients in Ward A1.

The Gales Club was established by the student members of Class 9A of the 1989 set of Lagos State School of Nursing, situated along Awolowo Way, Ikoyi, Lagos.

On Thursday, December 5, 2024, the members of the club, who are now retired nurses and matrons, visited the General Hospital in Odan, Lagos Island, to donate medical equipment and supplies.

The items donated include chairs, mini-baskets, waste baskets, pulse-checking medical gadgets, as well as light refreshment packs and clothing items.

Staff and patients in Ward A1 were delighted by the visit and donation as the Gales Club members entertained the patients with Christmas songs and songs of praise.

Mrs. Omipe Sadipe, the club’s president, expressed her delight and joy at the accomplishments of the club over the years as they delivered their annual agenda for the year, as they have been doing in the past.

*”I am very happy and equally excited that our club, the Gales Club of Class 9A, has once again delivered our yearly mission of giving back to society, especially to hospitals, while promoting our Alma Mater, Lagos School of Nursing, Awolowo Way, Ikoyi.

Apex Nurse Oshodi Bakare Olabisi, the assistant head of matrons at the General Hospital Odan, Lagos Island, also expressed her delight while appreciating the kind gestures of the Gales Club of Class 9A.

The Gales Club of Class 9A consists of a group of responsible, like-minded, unified, and passionate retired professional nurses who graduated from the Lagos State School of Nursing, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The club’s objectives include unifying and promoting togetherness among members of the club, keeping and maintaining social contact within Class 9A of the Lagos School of Nursing, positively contributing to the advancement of health, education, and human empowerment across Lagos, and projecting positively the image of their Alma Mater.
