In a social media post on X, Avichay Adraee, the Israel Defense Forces spokesperson for the Arab media, urged residents to leave Jabalia, a refugee camp in the area, and several other neighborhoods in the city, warning that they are in a “dangerous combat zone.”
Moreover, Adraee stated that Hamas is attempting to rebuild its capabilities in the area, and therefore, anyone remaining in these areas is putting themselves and their families at risk.
“Therefore, everyone who is in those areas exposes themselves and their families to danger,” he emphasized.
“Go immediately to the shelters west of Gaza City,” he advised.
Meanwhile, heavy clashes have been ongoing on the outskirts of the city between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants, rendering the crucial nearby aid crossings inaccessible.
Notably, over 110,000 people have already fled north from the city.
Adraee recommended that others move to Al-Mawasi, a nearby coastal area where Israel has promised an “expanded humanitarian area” would await them.
