Wakilbe stated that all primary and secondary schools have been ordered to close for two weeks to allow the floodwaters to recede.
This directive follows consultations with the state flood committee and aims to prevent any potential loss of life.
The flooding has severely impacted numerous communities across nearly all local government areas, particularly in Maiduguri, Jere, and surrounding LGAs.
It was gathered that the Zulum administration has established a special committee, led by the Secretary to the Borno State Government, Bukar Tijjani, to ensure a swift and effective response to the flood emergency in the state.
