Does it seem like your skin health keeps on going down the drain upon all the skincare routines you engage in?
Well, it may not be that your skin is adamant to any skin treatment, it can be that you are doing things against the health of your skin without you even knowing this. The problem could be from your skin routines or your normal habits.
So in this article on EKO HOT BLOG, we would be looking at common habits that are damaging to your skin.
1. Staying too long in the shower
Taking a bath for a long time is quite interesting and refreshing especially when the weather outside is cold. It’s not so bad to bath for long but some people have made it a habit to practically sleep in the shower all in the name of bathing. What you should know is that hot water damages the skin’s protective layer that locks in the needed moisture of the skin and causes rapid ageing. So if you do this regularly you are doing more harm to your skin than good.
2. Using one pillowcase for too long
Pillowcases, like any surface, collect dust. When we end up using the same pillowcase for too long, it ends up transporting all the dust and impurities on our faces upon contact. If you’ve been experiencing breakouts, it’s probably time to change your pillowcase!
3. Not washing your face after exercising
You should clean your face after every exercise in the morning not with hot water though. After exercising, apply sunscreen and moisturizer to smoothen your skin. If you don’t wash your face, you are just making way for pimples and acne on your face.

4. Poor Sleep Habits
Whether you don’t get enough hours or don’t get enough quality sleep, both can have an influence on your skin.
Sleep is when your skin heals itself. Your skin will appear weary, lifeless, and aged if you don’t use it. Adults should obtain at least 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night, according to experts. Concentrate on sleep quality and quantity, and address any concerns that are interfering with your sleep.
