High Court Online Affidavits
The Federal High Court (FHC) in Lagos has launched an online platform that allows the public to obtain affidavits directly from the court.
The initiative, introduced by FHC Chief Judge Justice John Tsoho, is part of efforts to modernize the court’s services.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that during a visit to the Lagos division on Friday, Deputy Chief Registrar Godwin Long led a tour of the newly established ICT department, managed by Agwu Charles.
The tour provided an overview of how the public can access the new online affidavit service.
High Court Online Affidavits
According to Agwu, the platform allows users to obtain affidavits for purposes such as loss of items, age declarations, and name changes. “All that’s required is to log in to portal.fhc.gov.ng and follow the instructions,” he said.
Long further explained that, for now, the platform handles only non-case-related affidavits. Affidavits used in court cases still need to be processed manually.
Affidavits filed to support a case are still done manually because of the peculiar disposition in such Affidavits.
He reiterated the need for people to be aware that henceforth, “they don’t necessarily have to be physically present to procure the type of Affidavits mentioned above,” he noted.
