Hon Ahmed Seriki Hailed as a Pillar of Epe Division as Club 97 Ends 2024 with Celebration

Eko hot blog reports that Hon. Ahmed Ayinde Seriki, the Commissioner representing Epe Division in the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, was honored with an Award of Excellence on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

The award was presented during the End-of-Year celebration organized by Club 97, a group of Epe Division indigenes in the Local Government Service.

Speaking at the event, the President of Club 97, Barrister Dapo Alebiosu, praised Hon. Seriki for his unwavering support and contributions to the development of Epe Division.

“Hon. Seriki has been a strong pillar for Epe people in the Local Government Service. He has done so much to help us grow and improve our work. We are proud of him,” Barr. Alebiosu said.

 

The Chairman of the Board of Council Managers, Otunba Lai Giwa, who also serves as the Council Manager of Lekki LCDA, described Hon. Seriki as a leader who always prioritizes the welfare of the people of Epe.

 

While presenting the award, he remarked, “Hon. Seriki’s efforts have made life better for many people in Epe Division. We thank him for his good work and urge others in leadership to follow his example.”

 

In his response, Hon. Seriki expressed gratitude to Club 97 for the recognition and reflected on the values instilled in him by his parents.

“My parents taught me to be hardworking, honest, patient, and to always care for others. These values guide me every day,” he said.

 

Hon. Seriki also commended the contributions of Epe Division staff in the Local Government Service.

 

“Our people are some of the best in Lagos State. We have talented, intelligent, and hardworking individuals who are making us proud in various positions, like Otunba Lai Giwa and the Treasurer of Kosofe Local Government,” he added.

 

He encouraged staff members to remain focused and committed to their duties.

 

“Be punctual, diligent, and hardworking. Follow the rules, and together we can make the Local Government Service even better,” he advised.

 

On the upcoming 2025 Local Government elections and the status of the 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), Hon. Seriki noted,

 

“It’s up to the Governor and House of Assembly to decide. Let us be patient and wait for the committee’s report from the Federal Government.”

 

Barr. Alebiosu explained that the End-of-Year celebration was organized to thank God for the year and plan for the future.

 

“Hon. Seriki has been a great leader, and we are grateful for his support. I wish all our members a successful and happy New Year,” he said.
