Representing the Mayor, his Chief Technical Adviser on Media, Communication, and Strategy, Mr. Yemi Azeez, commended the organizers for highlighting the significance of digital technology in youth development.
“By embracing digital tools, we can pave the way for our youth to succeed in today’s world,” he stated, referring to the local government’s recent initiatives, including an automated IGR collection portal and a mobile application for the Garbage Collection Tricycle Scheme, both launched earlier that week.
Hon. Olowa assured the youth of his administration’s ongoing support for their academic and career goals.
“We are committed to ensuring that our youth have the resources and opportunities they need to thrive,” he emphasized.
He outlined various contributions to education, such as free weekend tutorials at Pan Atlantic University, upgrades to primary school facilities, bursaries for tertiary students, scholarship programs, and the provision of free GCE and JAMB forms.
The organizers expressed gratitude for the Mayor’s representation and affirmed their commitment to supporting his administration.
“We appreciate your support and dedication to our development,” one organizer remarked.
The event underscored the vital role of technology in empowering the youth of Ibeju-Lekki and promoting sustainable development in the community.
