Ekohotblog reports that the Executive Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, visited Akodo General Hospital yesterday, where he met with the Medical Director, Dr. (Mrs.) Ime.
The purpose of the visit was to inspect the hospital in preparation for the installation of a solar inverter system and to assess the areas affected by the ongoing coastal road construction.

The installation of the solar inverter will provide a steady power supply, enabling the medical team to deliver uninterrupted care to the community,” he stated.
The Chairman also reviewed the sections of the hospital impacted by the road construction, pledging to address any disruptions.
“We are aware of the challenges caused by the ongoing coastal road project, but we are working closely with the contractors to minimize its impact on the hospital’s operations,” he assured.
Hon. Olowa was accompanied by key local government officials, including the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adewale Adebanjo; the Supervisor for Health, Hon. Tajudeen Sindiku Oniwonlu; and the Councillor representing Ward C2, Hon. Higara Olamilekan Almubaraq. Together, they inspected the facility and discussed potential solutions.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ime expressed her gratitude for the Chairman’s visit and his proactive approach to addressing the hospital’s needs.
“This solar inverter project will significantly improve our operations, especially during emergencies when a stable power supply is essential. We appreciate the local government’s support,” she said.
Together, they assessed the facility and discussed possible solutions.
