Re-elected Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, today made a symbolic visit to her father, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, the Oloja of Epe Land, to formally present her Certificate of Return issued by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).
Ekohotblog reports that the visit, held at the royal palace in Epe, was filled with emotion and reverence as the daughter of the throne returned home not just as a political leader, but as a royal child honoring her roots.

In her speech, Princess Surah expressed heartfelt gratitude to her father and the people of Epe for their unwavering support.
“I came here today with gratitude in my heart and joy in my soul, to show this LASIEC Certificate of Return to my father, the man whose blessings and prayers have guided my journey.”
“Kabiyesi, your wisdom has shaped me, your faith in me has strengthened me, and your love has carried me. This victory is not mine alone, it belongs to you, the entire Animashaun family, and all the sons and daughters of Epe, both home and abroad.”
“With the trust of our people and the continued prayers of the palace, I reaffirm my promise to serve Epe with honor, with dedication, and with pride in our royal heritage.”
In response, the royal father, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, expressed his delight at his daughter’s achievements and offered royal blessings for her continued success.
“Surah is not just my daughter, she is a daughter of the land. Her leadership is a reflection of the values we hold dear, respect, service, and integrity. May the ancestors and Almighty Allah continue to guide her path.”
Also present at the palace was a host of political allies, family members, and community leaders who applauded the chairman’s humility and strong connection to tradition.
