Members of Eko Club Houston today paid a condolence visit to the family of their late member, Larry, who passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 17.

During the visit, the delegation offered prayers, words of comfort, and assurances of continued support to Larry’s family, honoring his legacy of selfless service and community development.

Hon. Tunde Bashorun, General Secretary of Eko Club Houston, delivered a deeply moving condolence message on behalf of the organization.
He described Larry not only as a dedicated member but as a pillar of the club and the local community.
Bashorun reaffirmed the club’s commitment to supporting the family and encouraged them to find strength in their enduring faith, the same faith that carried Larry through life’s many trials. He prayed for the peaceful repose of Larry’s soul and for God’s comfort to surround the grieving family.

Also speaking during the visit, Emmanuel Ojeniyi, Chairman of the Eko Club Houston Board, extended his sympathy to Larry’s wife, urging her to remain steadfast.
He shared a scripture from the book of Isaiah, reminding the family of God’s constant presence and unwavering support in times of sorrow.

Hon. Diran Willoughby offered a heartfelt prayer, reflecting both spiritual reassurance and the collective grief of the club. He honored Larry’s nearly 25 years of unwavering commitment to Eko Club and expressed deep gratitude for his enduring impact on the organization and community.

Otunba T.J. Abass, President Emeritus of Eko Club International in a video shared also paid tribute to Larry’s enduring legacy, describing him as a man of purpose, dedication, and compassion.
“Larry’s life was defined by service and impact. His contributions to the advancement of our community are enduring, and his memory will continue to inspire us,” Abass stated.

He acknowledged the difficulty of coming to terms with such a sudden loss, calling it a powerful reminder of life’s uncertainties and the sovereignty of God.
“Though we may not grasp the timing or reasons behind such events, we remain grounded in our faith and are grateful for the blessing of having known him,” he added.

The club extended appreciation to all members, both present and absent for their support during this period of mourning.
