Hoodlums Attack Lagos Community Kill One, Injure Scores
- “I am calling on the police IG and CP Lagos State to help restore peace and safe my community from the hands of hoodlums and land-grabbers.”
One person has been feared dead while several others were injured as some suspected hoodlums believed to be land-grabbers attacked the residents of Isiu community in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the hoodlums shot sporadically to disperse and scare residents who were going about their lawful duties when the incident occurred on Saturday.
The traditional ruler of the community, Oba Olukayode Raji, disclosed that the incessant attacks on the town started since he became the king on Aug. 24, 2020.
“I am calling on the police IG and CP Lagos State to help restore peace and safe my community from the hands of hoodlums and land-grabbers,” the traditional ruler said.
Oba Raji urged the police to site a police station in the community which has a population of about 3000 residents.

Also speaking on the latest attack, the Chairman of Isiu Community Development Association, Mr. Opeyemi Taiwo, further revealed that the hoodlums usually carry out their heinous attacks at night.
According to him, one person was shot dead on Saturday, adding that his corpse had been taken to Imota Police station for transfer to the mortuary.
On his part, the Araba of Isiu, Ifagbemi Adifala, appealed to Lagos State Government to provide adequate security to enable residents to sleep with their two eyes closed.
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, noting that “FCID is handling the matter and proper investigation will be done.
“The command will work with the team to unravel the incident,” the police spokesperson said.
