Hoodlums Raze Three Police Stations In Edo

Hoodlums have set at least three police stations on fire at Upper Sakponba in Benin City, Edo State.

The affected stations include Saint Saviour, Ugbekun, and Idogbo police stations.

Earlier, some hoodlums had broken into the Nigerian Correctional Facility at Sapele Road in the state capital.

They went on to set an unconfirmed numbers of prisoners free.

In its reaction to the spate of violence, Edo State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew across the state till further notice.

According to a statement by Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq, on Monday, the curfew is to take effect from 4pm, today, October 19, 2020.
