EKO HOT BLOG reports that this change was announced on Wednesday in a statement by the Spokesman for the House of Representatives, Rep. Akin Rotimi, Jr., in Abuja.
The statement stressed that upon resumption, the House leadership will inaugurate the new board of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) and the Joint Senate/House Ad Hoc Committees on the Petroleum Industry Investigation on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

It added, “This follows the rescheduling from the original date of September 17, 2024, as communicated to Honourable Members through an internal memo from the Clerk of the House, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, Esq., on Wednesday, based on the directive of the House Leadership.”
“As the 10th Assembly reconvenes, it will continue to advance its Legislative Agenda, focusing on reforms to foster national development and fulfill its mandate to the Nigerian people.
“During the recess, Honourable Members actively engaged in constituency outreach nationwide, addressing pressing issues of concern to their constituents and strengthening oversight of ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), as outlined in the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the House Standing Orders.
“Further details about these activities will be shared during the plenary session on the resumption day.”
