The ancient kingdom of Alara was filled with color, music, and tradition as dignitaries, traditional rulers, political leaders, and community members gathered to celebrate the 5th Coronation Anniversary of Oba Alara.

One of the high points of the event was the tribute delivered by His Royal Majesty, Igwe Sir Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu, the Ogadagidi of Edem Ani Ogwugwu Ancient Kingdom, Nsukka L.G.A, and Chairman of the Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council.
In his goodwill message, Igwe Asadu described Oba Alara as more than just a king to his people.

“Oba Alara is a great man. He is not just a monarch but a brother to all, irrespective of tribe or tongue. In his reign, we have seen humility, wisdom, and a strong commitment to peace and brotherhood.”
He further added:
“His leadership has shown that traditional institutions remain vital in building bridges across communities.
Oba Alara is a shining example of what Nigeria needs today – a leader who sees beyond divisions.”
Over the past five years, Oba Alara has been widely recognized for his contributions to community development, cultural revival, and inter-ethnic unity.
Under his reign, the kingdom has witnessed infrastructural improvements, youth empowerment programs, and initiatives that promote cultural heritage.
