- I’ll quit social media before stepping into my husband’s house – Relationship therapist
- Says she will ask her husband to get her a sim so she can use Whatsapp
A relationship therapist says she will quit social media on her wedding day before she steps into her “husband’s house”.
The relationship therapist, known on Twitter as @Haleema_ added that she will only continue using WhatsApp and will replace her old sim card with a new one her husband will buy for her.
She wrote; I will quit all social media on my wedding, before stepping my foot into my husband’s house. I will only request for WhatsApp, which I will ask him to buy me a new sim card. This my opinion, this my choice, this how I want to live in my husband’s house inshallah.

Haleema’s view about how she wants to live as a married woman stirred controversy on social media as many users did not fail to share their opinion.
While some insisted it was the right thing to do, others slammed her, challenging her not to use WhatsApp but rather sarcastically encouraged her to go off social media completely.

Hell no! This is not right, Patriarchy system has conditioned you to feel you don't need to be challenging your husband, you need to keep alot of options for your self too! Women are not born to Be submissive in marriages you are supposed to challenge men!

And that is okay, if this is what you want, I pray it works for you as you have envisioned it and I pray your marriage is blessed ❤️ https://t.co/Ip46Jvftrz

Personally, I think this is a ridiculous move. But I respect your opinion so long you do not harm anyone in the process of executing this. Just do you.
I think people should learn to respect other people's opinions, even if they do sound ridiculous. https://t.co/rvNLsfK0G6
