Ibadan Explosion Update: Ten Bodies Recovered As Rescue Operation Continues

Eko Hot Blog reports that rescue operation is still ongoing at the  site of an explosion that occurred at Adeyi Avenue, Bodija Estate, Ibadan, Oyo State capital on Tuesday.

According to a PUNCH correspondent who visited the scene of the explosion, no fewer than 10 bodies that were recovered from the site were taken away in ambulances.

As of press time, rescue workers believe that some persons are still trapped  under the rubbles and efforts are ongoing to rescue them.

Recall that the Oyo State Government had earlier urged residents to remain calm over the reported explosion that rocked in the ancient city on Monday.

This was contained in a tweet on the government’s official X handle.

The tweet reads” The Oyo State Government is aware of reports of an explosion in Ibadan. Residents are urged to remain calm as security agencies are investigating this to determine the source and cause of the incident”
