Ibeju-Lekki Officials Inspect Creek for New Fish Market
Ekohotblog reports that the Ibeju-Lekki administration under the leadership of Hon Sesan Olowa is taking steps to establish a Fresh Water Fish Market, key officials went for an inspection at the Ibeju-Orimedu creek to see the proposed site.
The inspection team was led by Hon. Adewale Adebanjo, the inspection team examine the area to kick-start the project aimed at boosting the local economy.

“This initiative marks a relevant step towards regenerating fish farming in our riverine communities,” said Hon. Adewale Adebanjo.
“By utilizing our rich water resources, we aim to boost the local economy and create sustainable livelihoods for our residents.”
Ibeju-Lekki, blessed with the Atlantic Ocean and lagoon, is deliberately designed for fish farming.
The project will encourage locals to return to farming, enhancing food security and creating new opportunities for growth.
