The airline’s performance reflects its strategic planning and dedication to passenger satisfaction, especially at a time when flight delays and cancellations are becoming more frequent across the country.
Data released shows that Ibom Air scheduled a total of 959 flights and successfully operated 925, representing a 96.5% flight completion rate. Of the flights operated, 170 were delayed beyond 15 minutes, which translates to an 82% punctuality rate. Even more notable is the fact that no flights were cancelled during the month a rare achievement in the Nigerian aviation industry.
In addition, 88 flights were rescheduled, which accounts for 9.2% of the total operated flights. Despite these changes, the airline managed to retain a strong schedule reliability of 87%.

Ibom Air currently operates a fleet of seven Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft and two Airbus A220-300s, flying both domestic and regional routes. While major African carriers often achieve on-time rates of between 90% to 96%, Ibom Air’s 82% — delivered under Nigeria’s unique operational challenges is seen as highly commendable.
According to reports, it was noted that Ibom Air’s achievement reflects the potential of local airlines when focused leadership, operational discipline, and efficient management come together. The platform described the July numbers as a signal that Nigerian carriers can compete on reliability if the right systems are in place.
Passengers and industry observers have also reacted positively to the statistics, praising the airline’s transparency and consistency. Some travel experts believe Ibom Air’s model could become a reference point for other domestic carriers seeking to improve performance.
With zero cancellations and a growing reputation for reliability, Ibom Air is gradually raising the bar for punctuality and customer trust in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
