IGP Kayode Egbetokun Decorates Tunji Disu, 19 Others, With AIG, CP Ranks [ See Full List]

- 20 officers were elevated to the rank of Assistant Inspector General (AIG), while 19 were promoted to Commissioner of Police (CP)

- The latest round of promotions, approved by the Police Service Commission at the IGP’s request, continues Egbetokun’s innovative policies aimed at recognizing and elevating dedicated members of the police force.
Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, presided over the decoration ceremony of Tunji Disu and 19 other senior officers, promoting them to the ranks of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police and Commissioner of Police (CP).
Eko Hot Blog reports that the event held yesterday, Tuesday 25th March 2025 at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Force Headquarters, saw the promotion of 20 officers who were elevated to the rank of AIG, while 19 were promoted to CP.

The latest round of promotions, approved by the Police Service Commission at the IGP’s request, continues Egbetokun’s innovative policies aimed at recognizing and elevating dedicated members of the police force.
Under his leadership, the force has experienced a record-breaking number of promotions within a short period.
In a press release signed by Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the IGP congratulated the promoted officers and encouraged them to to adopt and effectively propagate positive reforms within the police force.
He encouraged them to adopt strategic and innovative approaches in their policing methods.
The decorated officers are as follows:
Assistant Inspectors General:
Fasuba Olabode, Musibau Ajani, Aliyu Abubakar, Patrick Adedeji Atayero, Gyogon Grimah, Olaiya Victor Mobolaji, Chukwudi Ariekpere, Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, Olaolu Adegbite, Godwin Eze, Disu Olatunji Rilwan, Alausa Tolani, Kareem Musa, Mohammed Shehu Dalijan, Dan-Mamman Shawulu, Clement Robert, Musa Auwal Mohammed, Thomas Abraham Nabhoni, Abel Jangnap Zwalchir, and Ifeanyi Uka.
