Eko Hot Blog reports that the administration of Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has distributed free General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms to 200 school leavers within the council.

The initiative, now in its 5th edition, was held at the LCDA Secretariat Multipurpose Hall.
Since inception, the programme has benefitted over 1,000 residents, providing them with opportunities to further their academic ambitions and pursue career growth.
Speaking at the event, the Head of Education and Library Services Department emphasized the significance of the gesture.
“Access to education remains a vital tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. We appreciate the Chairman for prioritizing youth development through education.”
In his keynote address, the Executive Chairman, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to educational advancement.
“Our administration believes strongly that no child should be denied the opportunity to pursue higher education due to financial constraints.
This is why we are giving out these forms free of charge. We are determined to continue supporting our young ones until they reach their full potential,” he said.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the council, describing the initiative as a beacon of hope. The programme concluded with dignitaries encouraging the students to remain dedicated to their studies and make Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA proud.
