In a move aimed at preserving the cultural heritage and historical identity of the people of Epe, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Surah Olayemi Animashaun, on Monday, 16th March 2026, conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction and development work at the Museum Centre located within the council secretariat.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the inspection highlights the administration’s commitment to promoting culture, history, and tourism while creating a befitting space that will showcase the remarkable story, traditions, values, and legacy of the people of Epe Division for generations to come.

Speaking during the visit, the council boss reiterated the importance of preserving the historical identity of the community while investing in projects that strengthen cultural awareness and education.
“This project is aimed at preserving the heritage of our people and ensuring that future generations understand the history, traditions, and values that define Epe,” she said.
Upon completion, the Museum Centre is expected to serve as a major cultural landmark and a source of pride for residents across Epe Division, further reinforcing the administration’s vision of preserving the past while building a progressive and prosperous future for the community.
