Imo Ritual Killings: Why The Youths Of Okata Town Are After Their King
The youths of Okata town in Ihitte / Uboma of Imo state have given their traditional king, Christian Iwueke a strong warning as they marched to protest against the massacre in their home town.
As many as 200 protesters marched on a jail holding others detained during what is being called “the biggest protests in recent memory.” i
As Umuokoro Uhuala County Commissioner John Anyanwu told reporter “We chased them, captured two people but the prince and the others fled.”
Ihitte / Uboma police chief Charles Njoku rushed to the scene and prevented youths from killing the king and setting his house on fire, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
Njoku asked them not to judge the king and judge themselves. Mark Uchendu , a former secretary to the Imo state government who accompanied the local police chief, asked the locals to calm down after the police completed their investigation.

“The youths angrily beat the two men and called on the king to bring his son to justice for refusing to bring his son to justice.”
The youth did not want to be named and said, “Many people have been killed in our village but our king has done nothing about it. This shows that he knows what is going on.”
He called on the police to investigate the source of the leak and to blame those involved in the massacre.
