In the face of worsening insecurity, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus in the House of Representatives has announced plans to initiate impeachment proceedings against of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Kingsley Chinda, leader of the caucus, announced the development at a press conference in Abuja.
Chinda said the move is spurred by the recent abduction of students by bandits in Kastina state.
Other members of PDP caucus were also present at the press conference.
According to Chinda: “The president should be impeached over the growing insecurity in the country.”
