Government officials, industry mavens, startup wizards, and tech enthusiasts gathered to dissect the transformative power of DeepTech across the continent. The event kicked off with insights from Dr. Bienvenu Agbokponto Soglo of Intel, shedding light on the socio-economic implications of DeepTech in Africa.
A riveting panel discussion, featuring heavyweights from the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), and Intel, delved into the challenges and opportunities awaiting Africa’s DeepTech ecosystem.
Day two honed in on equipping startups and developers with the tools needed to thrive in the AI realm. Intel’s Liftoff for AI Startups Program took center stage, alongside presentations on the Intel Developer Cloud and OneAPI initiative.
The event crescendoed with talks from luminaries like Ajibola Odukoya of AfriLabs and Dr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi of NITDA, emphasizing the pivotal role of collaboration and government support in fostering innovation.
Dr. Abdullahi echoed this sentiment, affirming, “AI is our journey, our goals are defined, and our determination is unwavering.”
Reflecting on the event, Anna Ekeledo of AfriLabs hailed the collaboration as a catalyst for future innovation and growth across Africa.
