Israel on Alert After Claiming Nasrallah’s Death
Israeli military has announced heightened alert on Saturday after claiming responsibility for the death of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut.
Following the report, Israeli officials expressed hope that Nasrallah’s death would lead to a shift in Hezbollah’s actions.
“We hope this will change Hezbollah’s actions,” stated Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani during a media briefing, confirming Nasrallah’s death.
However, Shoshani acknowledged that it would take time to weaken Hezbollah’s capabilities.

“We’ve seen Hezbollah attack us consistently over the past year. It’s likely they will continue or attempt further strikes,” he added.
Shoshani also noted that no new home front instructions were issued to Israeli civilians, as existing guidelines had already placed much of the country on high alert.
“Hezbollah has been escalating for a year now… Iran’s involvement is clear. They support Hamas, Hezbollah, and other proxies. They even attacked us directly in April,” Shoshani said.
Regarding potential future conflicts, he stressed, “Are we prepared for a wider escalation? Absolutely. We’ve been dealing with a multi-front war for a year. Our forces are ready, and our intelligence is actively monitoring for threats.”
