The President also highlighted the rise of complex financial crimes, such as cryptocurrency fraud, calling on the judiciary to strengthen its capacity to handle these emerging challenges. He reassured that his administration is committed to supporting judicial officers, with recent efforts to improve their welfare and provide accommodation.
Tinubu praised the EFCC’s efforts in combating financial crimes, noting the
strategic investment of recovered funds into programs like the Students Loan Fund and the Consumer Credit Scheme. These initiatives aim to reduce economic pressures that may drive individuals to corruption.
Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio echoed the need for stronger collaboration between the judiciary and law enforcement agencies in the fight against corruption.
Both pledged their continued support for anti-graft efforts, emphasizing the importance of capacity-building initiatives to tackle financial crimes.
