[JUST IN] Anambra 2021: INEC Releases Final List Of Governorship Candidates

• INEC has released the final list of governorship candidates for the Anambra 2021 election.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Thursday, published the final list of candidates contesting for the gubernatorial election slated for November 6, 2021, in Anambra State.

 

The list showing the 18 candidates contesting for the governorship election was signed by the National Commissioner in charge of INEC’s Information and Voter Education Committee, Mr Festus Okoye.

 

This online news platform reports that Mr. Valentine Ozigbo’s name was published alongside his running mate, Mrs Azuka Enemo, as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); while Prof. Chukwuma Soludo was listed as the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Sen. Andy Uba’s name was also published as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

 

Others are Sen. Ifeanyi Uba as the candidate of Young Progressives Party (YPP), while Dr Obiora Okonkwo would fly the flag of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

 

EKOHOTBLOG reports that other governorship candidates published by INEC on Thursday include Obiora Agbasimalo, Labour Party (LP); Dr Godwin Maduka, Accord Party; Bennet Etiaba, ( AA); Chidozie Nwankwo, (AAC); Akachukwu Nwankpo, (ADC); Afam Ume-ezeoke, (ADP); Geoffrey Onyejegbu, (APM); Philip Echetebu, (APP); Okeke Chika Jerry, (BOOT Party).

Leonard Ohajinkpo will contest on the platform of NNPP, Afam Ezenwafor for NRM, Nnamdi Nwawuo for PRP, and Obinna Uzoh for SDP.
