Pascal Dozie, a prominent figure in the Nigerian business world and the founder of the now-defunct Diamond Bank, has passed away following a brief illness, as confirmed by family sources.

Eko Hot Blog reports that he was born on April 9, 1939, in Owerri, Imo State.

In addition to establishing Diamond Bank, he held the position of Chairman at MTN Nigeria and was actively involved in various business ventures and initiatives aimed at promoting economic development and empowering individuals.

Dozie’s impact on the business world has been recognized through numerous awards, including the National Award of the Order of the Niger (OON) and the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).
