Katsina: Police Disburse Over N27m to 36 Families of Fallen Officers

The Katsina State Police Command has distributed a total of N27,485,644.79 to 36 families of police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The disbursement took place on Friday, October 11, and was led by the Katsina State Police Commissioner, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

The funds, sourced from group life insurance, group personal accident, and the Inspector General of Police family welfare insurance schemes, were provided as insurance benefits to the families of the fallen officers.

CP Musa expressed his appreciation to the IGP for his compassion towards the families and urged the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely to support their livelihoods.

One of the recipients, Najib Ibrahim, expressed gratitude to the IGP for the support and pledged to manage the funds responsibly.

This distribution is part of ongoing efforts by the police force to support the families of officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country.
