Kenyan Classroom Collapses, At Least 7 Dead, Dozens Trapped

– Reports claimed that at least seven of the students have lost their lives to death in the incident
– A city officials disclosed that there are 917 students at the school
About seven children have been left died after a classroom collapsed at a school in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, officials say.
The wooden structure at Precious Talent Top School collapsed just minutes after the start of the school day on Monday, September 23.
Dozens of students are reported to be trapped. Emergency services are at the scene.

Look at these wires, the stones that were used,” said Peter Livasia, 30, a parent of an unhurt student. “The structure may look good, but when the building comes down, you realise it was made of nothing.”
It was learnt that the rescue equipment didn’t arrive at the school for more than an hour after the collapse.

Reports have it that Dystanders used their hands to pull away the rubble and sent injured children to nearby hospitals on the back of Nairobi’s ubiquitous motorcycle taxis. There are 917 students at the school.
