Prominent leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) arrived at the residence of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso ahead of the official defection of the former Kano State governor to the party.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Kwankwaso confirmed the development in a post shared on his 𝕏 account on Monday, where he expressed satisfaction at receiving the opposition figures at his Kano residence.
The former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party shared photos of the visit, describing the gathering as a meeting of key national figures.
“Delighted to welcome distinguished leaders and statesmen from across the nation to my Kano residence today,” he wrote.
Among those seen in the images were Rotimi Amaechi, Aminu Tambuwal, and David Mark, further signalling growing alignment among opposition leaders ahead of the 2027 elections.
The visit comes amid ongoing political realignments, with Kwankwaso expected to formally join the ADC as part of broader efforts to build a united opposition platform.
